Some help from the reviewers at PCMag
We routinely get requests for printer
recommendations. What results is a
conversation about intended use, print volume
in pages-per-month, color or monochrome,
network or not, photo-printing or not, home
or office, and others.
If you are in the market for a replacement or additional printer, you may be interested in a recent article by the review staff of PCMag.com, "How To Buy A Printer". For the most part, it covers a lot of the same ground that we do in helping clients identify what they really need when selecting printing and imaging hardware. Check it out. |

Every quarter we give away printers, and this
one is no exception. The Laserjet P1006 is
HP's smallest and quietest laser printer,
perfect for home or desktop use. It prints at
17 pages-per-minute and is compatible with
Vista and Mac OS operating systems.
The Quarterly Give-Away is fun and free, so make sure you are signed up. If you're a subscriber to this newsletter, then you're already entered in the Give-Away. If you're not a subscriber, you'll need to sign up here by midnight, March 31, 2010. Just watch your in-box on Thursday, April 1, 2010. No purchase necessary. |

Reducing petroleum content of laser printer supplies
From the first days of xerographic printing,
the fine black powder otherwise known as
"toner" included a large percentage of
petroleum-based resins which ensured that the
pigment was securely fixed to the paper
before it left the printer, copier, or fax.
Those days are changing, and we are happy to announce the availability of toner cartridges for the HP Laserjet 1010 Series, 1200 Series, and 4200 Series which include at least 35% soy-based resins. We are excited to promote the development of this renewable bio-based resource, and look forward to greater opportunity in the printer supplies market to reduce our dependence and use of petroleum-based toner formulations. Stay tuned! |

We Have Answers!
Q: "Could you help with printing my
graduation announcements?" (We get this one a
lot this time of year.)
A: Serves us right, I suppose, with a name like "Printer Pro Inc." Our usual response is to cheerfully refer the caller to one of our local print shops. Once in awhile, the caller then asks, "So what DO you do?" And here's what I say: Think of us as a performance enhancer for your document creation efforts.
Hardware We help you through the
process of identifying your specific hardware
need, selecting, customizing, and installing
the equipment. So if you depend on printing and imaging equipment to get your work done, contact us for some performance enhancement. |
